Youth Catechism Class

We believe from the Scriptures that God has chosen to work in families. We covenant (or solemnly promise) at the baptism of each child born into the covenant community to assist the parents in the Christian nurture and admonition of their children. At Missio Dei Church we take this vow seriously as evidenced by our many ministries that come alongside parents. A youth catechism class is one of the ways through which we discharge this responsibility.

Catechisms have been used for almost two millennia in the church to teach both children and adults the basics of the Bible and Christian Theology. We use the Westminster Shorter, Heidelberg, and New City Catechisms as tools to disciple our youth.

Catechism classes meet from September through May on Sunday mornings immediately after morning worship. We have three catechism classes that meet after gathered worship (11:00-11:30 AM).
