The book of Jonah tells quite a bit about the ways of the human heart and quite a bit about the ways of the heart of God. As we will find it in this prophet, it is very clear that we human beings have a way of running from God more than running to Him. As we proceed through this book, we will see that God’s love is intended even for the most despicable people on earth. We will catch a vision of what it really means to be loved, to be dealt with, to be questioned and queried, to be known, to be challenged and changed by our heavenly Father.
