Update: The Church Has a Missional Outpost

1

Today, we met with the representatives of the Chicago Central District of the Nazarene (CCDN) to hammer out details about the building on Wood Street in New Lenox. Let’s just say that I believe that prayer works! After two hours of lunch, story sharing, and talking about details, we walked away with a peace that the Lord has been orchestrating this whole thing! From the school not being available this summer to options of shared worship space with other churches not working out to the Wood Street church being vacant, God has been in control and leading the whole thing.

By the end of this month, we will be (Lord willing) signing a two-year shared space agreement (aka lease) with the CCDN. We will be able to start renovations beginning Friday, June 1.

At this point we are not sure when we will be having our first Sunday of gathered worship in this space as there are number of things that need to be done. As time goes on, we will be asking for each and everyone of you to use your time, talents and treasures to help out! Start praying about how God can use you!

Paul and Laura,
This sounds very good. I have experienced first-hand how awesome and generous God is; and I will pray for you.
